Nebraska Hematology-Oncology is pleased to announce several key additions that will help serve patients in Lincoln and surrounding communities more comprehensively and more closely to where they live. These additions include three physicians that will start with NHO in early September. Two radiation oncologists, Dr. Phillip Hynes and Dr. Kevin Yiee, and palliative care physician Dr. Amanda Woodward will join the practice and will begin serving patients when they begin next month. In addition, three radiation oncology sites, currently known as Radiation Oncology Consultants, will move under Nebraska Hematology-Oncology to form NHO Radiation Oncology beginning September 5. Those sites are located in South Lincoln at 8001 Eiger Drive and North Lincoln at 3240 Folkways Boulevard and in Beatrice at 552 Sargent Street. Both the South Lincoln and Beatrice locations are currently operating while the North Lincoln location will open in October 2022.
“Adding three physicians that specialize in the areas of radiation oncology and palliative care is a monumental step in allowing us to serve our patients in a more comprehensive and convenient manner,” commented Amy King, Chief Executive Officer at Nebraska Hematology-Oncology. “This is part of an evolution at NHO that will allow patients to address more areas of their care within the NHO system which will believe will lead to more favorable outcomes and a better patient experience. These physicians are excellent practitioners and will work nicely with NHO’s patient-first approach to care. We can’t wait for our patients to begin seeing the benefits these providers will add to their level of care.”
