Job Summary:
Nebraska Hematology Oncology is a leading oncology and hematology private practice with multiple sites and disciplines, including Medical Oncology, Radiation Oncology, Palliative Medicine, and other supportive care services. We are seeking an experienced, dynamic, and visionary Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead our organization through its next phases of growth and innovation. The CEO will be responsible for the overall strategic, operational, and financial leadership of the practice, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and the sustainable growth of the business.
Principal Duties:
Strategic Leadership:
Develop and execute the long-term strategic plan in collaboration with the physicians and executive leadership team
Identify growth opportunities, including expansion into new markets, service lines, and partnerships
Foster a culture of innovation, patient-centered care, and operational excellence
Operational Management:
Oversee day-to-day operations across all practice locations, ensuring efficient and effective service delivery
Implement best practices in healthcare management to optimize patient outcomes and operational efficiency
Ensure compliance with all regulatory, legal, and accreditation requirements
Financial Management:
Lead the financial planning process, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
Optimize the financial performance of the practice, including revenue growth, cost management, and profitability
Manage relationships with payers, vendors, and other key stakeholders to ensure favorable contract terms and financial sustainability
Patient Care Excellence:
Uphold the highest standards of patient care, ensuring that all clinical operations meet or exceed industry benchmarks
Work closely with the nursing leadership to align clinical and operational goals
Implement patient satisfaction and quality improvement initiatives
Human Resources and Talent Management:
Lead and develop the executive leadership team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture
Oversee talent acquisition, retention, and development across the organization
Promote diversity, equity, and inclusion within the workplace
Stakeholder Relations:
Serve as the primary spokesperson and representative for the practice to external stakeholders, including patients, community leaders, industry organizations, and media
Maintain strong relationships with the physicians, providing regular updates on organizational performance and strategic initiatives
Engage with referring physicians, hospital systems, and other partners to enhance the practice’s reputation and market position
Technology and Innovation:
Drive the adoption of cutting-edge technologies to enhance patient care, operational efficiency, and data management
Lead digital transformation initiatives, including implementation of electronic health records (EHR) systems and telemedicine services
Risk Management:
Identify and mitigate organizational risks, including financial, operational, and reputational risks
Ensure the practice is prepared for emergencies and crisis situations, with comprehensive contingency plans in place
Additional Duties Include Oversight of:
CMS and government regulations
Regulatory knowledge such as HIPAA, Compliance, OSHA, USP, Pharmacy, Healthcare Advocacy and legislation
Healthcare billing, coding, and compliance operations
Insurance contracting and negotiation
Vendor engagement and contracting
Employee benefit programs and retirement plans
Corporate documentation and compliance
Leadership Development
Clinical Research Program
Quality Program compliance and certifications
Property Management
State and Federal reporting requirements
Leadership at Board of Directors meetings
Physician recruitment
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Management, or related field is required; and advanced degree (MBA, MHA, MD) is preferred
Minimum of 10 years of senior leadership experience in a healthcare setting, with a proven track record of leading multi-site operations. Experience in oncology, hematology, or a related medical field is highly desirable

Physical Requirements:
